R8014 Hornby Point Motor

The point motor is designed to allow for the convenient electrical operation of points. The point motor also has a 5 pole skew wound and measures at 38mm in length

Requires 16V AC power supply and either a passing contact switch (such as R044) for DC operation or a pont/accessory decoder (such as R8247) for DCC control.

The mounting lugs allow the motor to be located directly to the underside of the point for siting in a hole made in the baseboard, but these lugs are of a slightly different size to other makes, meaning that these R8014 motors will only locate directly onto Hornby points without the need for any modification.

If it is not possible to mount the motor onto the underside of the point, it can be side mounted on the surface and disguised in an R8015 housing.
