Details

Lumo is an open-access rail operator owned by FirstGroup, the same parent company as Hull Trains. Since October 2021, it has offered fast services between London King’s Cross and Edinburgh on the East Coast Main Line, stopping at Stevenage, Newcastle, and Morpeth.

Lumo introduced the Class 803 in March 2019. While part of the same Hitachi A-train family as the Class 800 and 802, the 803 units are not fitted with diesel engines and operate exclusively on electric power.
