Seen up and down the country, these compounds were used for the storage of bulk materials such as coal, sand, ballast or other aggregate material. Traditionally found alongside goods sidings and platforms in larger goods yards or builders merchants, these compounds allowed storage of the materials for onward transportation via road or rail.

This kit can be extended with duplicate kits to form larger storage compounds. Kit contains 91 parts, moulded in 2 colours and comes with a bag of realistic model coal. These models can be painted and weathered with your preferred modelling paints.

This model is produced in pre-coloured parts but additional painting can be applied during construction to suit your model location.
