We announce Exclusive Graham Farish N Gauge Mk3 and Mk2b Royal Train coach packs in Royal Claret livery.
The current Royal Train comprises of seven Mk3 vehicles along with two former BR Mk 2b Brake Corridor Firsts that provide Couchette accommodation for staff, and one is fitted with a generator to provide independent power supply to the train.
The formation of the Royal Train is varied according to who is on board and the type of journey, therefore not all vehicles always appear on each Royal Train service.
Each of the vehicles within the Royal Train fleet is unique and two have now been redesignated following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, with Mk3 2903 originally HM The Queen's Saloon now known as HM The King’s Saloon, while Mk3 2904 formally HRH The Duke of Edinburgh's Saloon becoming HM The Queen Consort’s Saloon.
The Royal Train is operated by DB Cargo, who provides the motive power and is maintained at Wolverton Works in Buckinghamshire, that has incredibly been associated with the Royal Train since 1842.
The Kernow Model Rail Centre Exclusive Royal Train coach packs in N Gauge are being produced for KMRC by Graham Farish. These coaches are from the original Graham Farish tooling without interiors, this permits accurate window and door arrangements for the Royal Train coaches to be reproduced.
