This metal water tank plays an essential role in the operation of any steam-worked railway, the provision of water. With a lattice base holding the metal tank above, water is supplied via gravity through a hose connected to the tank – the valve for which is chain operated and on the Scenecraft model, this feature is replicated with real metal chain.
