We know you demand the very best for your OO gauge model railway layouts and 1:76 scale diecast dioramas and that's why we've pulled out all the stops on this pigsty kit bring you an unrivalled level of realism.

This versatile pigsty building will fit right in to any farm or rural scene, with the option to build it with our popular old stone wall finish or aged red brick as can be seen in the photos above.

The design is typical of many pigstys that can still be seen all over the British Isles, with stone/brick walls & slate roof. And we've even given it a prototypically uneven roofline for that added touch of realism to help it blend right in to your layout, just like the real thing. It'll look as if it's always been there!

The kit is supplied with precision laser-cut parts for ease of assembly and includes fully weathered paper wraps and roof slates, with no additional painting or weathering of the walls or roof required for a "Realistically Better" finish straight from the pack.

The doors, gates & downspouts are supplied laser-cut from our eco-friendly laserboard and are packed with detail including engraved planks, hinges and locks. These will require painting before assembly, but this can be done quickly and easily with acrylic paints. We used a Plastikote Stone color for our test build which we then dry-brushed with burnt sienna, white & slate grey artists acrylics to create a weathered wood look.

The doors and gates can be posed open or closed during the assembly process enabling you to personalise the look and feel of the pigstys as desired.

The pigsty building consists of three stys, each with their own small yards. Each of which has the choice of a fine gravel/dirt or slabbed finish which you can select during assembly.

And although you'll probably never see them, we've included a complete set of interior wall wraps, should you wish to pose any of the doors open during assembly.

There's also plenty of scope for customisation too... with the slates being applied in individual strips it's easy to build the pigstys in either pristine or derelict condition (or anywhere in between).
