KMRC Skrifa - Heljan News Update - Autumn 2021 [Updated 24/09/21]

HELJAN have provided a comprehensive news update as Now that the summer holidays are over, it’s time to get on with delivering their latest new models. It’s been a busy few months with the arrival of their OO9 model of Lynton & Barnstaple Railway ‘LYN’, the 00 gauge GWR Railcars and the new refurbished Class 31s and centre headcode Class 40s in O.

Like many other industries we are currently being affected by disruption to international shipping and the sharp increase in costs for moving containers. This situation is expected to affect the reliability of deliveries to Europe for many months and, unfortunately, is already causing upward pressure on prices. Heljan advise that they are doing everything they can to absorb the extra costs, but some new and forthcoming products will be more expensive than anticipated.

Heljan Class 31 0 GaugeHowever, better news is that several long-awaited new models are finally en route from the factory and will arrive in the UK over the next couple of months.

4853 Heljan Class 47 Diesel Locomotive number D1670 Mammoth
O GAUGE CLASS 47s

Expected first are the new O gauge Class 47s, which are now scheduled for late October delivery (international shipping issues permitting).

This includes our very own Exclusive 4853 Heljan Class 47 Diesel Locomotive number D1670 "Mammoth in BR Two-Tone Green livery with small yellow panels  - Pre-Orders yours here>>>

New from the ground up, these highly-detailed Brush Type 4s feature a wealth of improvements over our previous Class 47 released more than a decade ago. Three variants cover 1960s/70s locos with glazed headcode panels and steam heating equipment, 1980s/90s freight/departmental Class 47s with plated headcode panels, headlights and no heating equipment and 1980s/90s Class 47/4s with with plated headcode panels, headlights and electric train heating  (ETH) equipment.
No fewer than 11 liveries have been produced, ranging from original two-tone green to InterCity and Network SouthEast. Standard features include LED lighting, sprung buffers/screw link couplings, a DCC Ready chassis with screw terminal PCB, twin motors/flywheels, fully detailed cab interiors and a wealth of additional detailing parts, including snowploughs and a choice of headcode panel inserts.
Several versions - notably the BR blue and Large Logo blue liveries - are already close to being sold out at the warehouse, so early ordering is highly recommended to avoid disappointment.
