We are excited to announce our first KMRC Exclusive locomotive in 0 Gauge as Brush Type 4, later Class 47, D1610 “Mammoth” in two tone green livery with small yellow warning panel.

Locomotive D1670 was originally introduced in March 20th 1965 and allocated to Cardiff Canton and was named ‘Mammoth’ just after being allocated to Landore (Swansea) in August 1965. She was later also allocated to Bristol Bath Road and Old Oak Common.

The model has been produced by Heljan Exclusively for KRMC and correctly represents D1670 as introduced being an early boiler-fitted locomotive with full underframe tanks, glazed headcode panels and Serck radiator shutters. Also supplied with the model are a set of etched ‘Mammoth’ nameplates.

The Exclusive 0 gauge model is available to pre-order at £699.00 and should be available in quarter 4 this year, click here to pre-order.

Chris Trerise, Managing Director (aka 'Bossman), said: “Having produced Mammoth as a 00 exclusive model in the past, it was an obvious candidate for our first venture in 0 Gauge especially as D1670 worked the inaugural Clayfreighter from Burngullow in Cornwall to Sittingbourne conveying clay slurry to Bowaters for paper production.”
