IDF Modified Medium Tank The M1 Super Sherman was Israel’s early Cold War upgrade of the classic WWII-era Sherman. Based on the M4A1 hull with the later HVSS suspension for improved cross-country performance, this variant featured the American 76mm M1 gun in a revised turret for better firepower. These tanks retained the classic Sherman silhouette but with uniquely Israeli modifications and stowage, creating a hybrid WWII/Cold War look. Ideal for dioramas depicting the 1956 Sinai Campaign or early Israeli armoured brigades. Hatches can be fitted open or closed. Moveable suspension and road wheels, workable tracks. Metal barrel and photo-etch parts included. Choice of 4 markings. (Figure not included). 1:35 scale plastic model kit from Takom, requires paint and glue.
