KMRC announce Exclusive OO gauge seven plank open wagon in the livery of Franks and Co of Guildford and LSWR.

We announce an Exclusive OO gauge RCH 1907 seven plank open wagon in the livery of Franks and Co of Guildford, numbered 85 as running on the London & South Western Railway (LSWR).

Franks and Co were a coal, gravel and salt merchants based in Bridge Street, close to Guildford station and had a number of their own private owner wagons in this livery of white lettering on black and were registered by the LSWR.

The Kernow Model Rail Centre Exclusive model in OO gauge is being produced for KMRC by Rapido Trains UK Ltd. The model is based on their highly detailed RCH 1907 specification seven Plank open wagon with side and end doors and features double sided brakes, Ellis axleboxes, smooth tapered buffers and split spoke wheels running in brass bearings.

The Exclusive 967277 Franks & Co (7-plank, side and end doors)-model is priced at £32.95 and is due Q3 2026 and available to pre-order now online in person at both Kernow Model Rail Centre branches.
 
Matthew Mazzocchi-Higgs, Guildford Branch Manager said: “Since our first Exclusive TT:120 Gauge as local private owner wagon Franks and Co Guildford, we have often been requested to produce in OO gauge, the latest specification Rapido Trains UK RCH 1907 wagon is the ideal specification for this locally based wagon in OO gauge.”
