Dapol have announced a new Class 66s in N gauge and also a 1907 GWR Diagram N Autocoach in 00.
N Gauge Class 66
The Class 66 is a type of Co-Co heavy freight locomotive and was originally ordered by EWS to replace and update the freight fleet post privatisation in 1996. 250 Class 66s were ordered from General Motors Electromotive Division (EMD) and these were built in London, Ontario, Canada. Subsequent freight operators, Freightliner, GB Railfreight and Direct Rail Services (DRS) also ordered batches of these locomotives.
These new Class 66 models from Dapol will have a entirely re-designed chassis and electronics and a newly tooled body. The models will also be sound capable. Tghey also feature: smooth running 5 pole next generation motor, all wheel pickup, all wheel drive, die-cast chassis, DCC Sound ready, Next-18 decoder socket, independent directional front/rear main lighting control—day and night lighting with four light clusters being modelled, removable self-centring close coupling mechanism with NEM pockets and standard NEM fitting N Gauge couplers.
Dapol will be releasing nine liveries, with DCC Ready, DCC Fitted, DCC Sound Fitted as follows:

00 Gauge GWR Diagram N Autocoach
The Dapol autocoach in 00 is based on the six coaches numbered 36 to 41 constructed during 1907 under Lot 1126 to Diagram ‘N ’. All were built new as driving trailers and not later conversions from old steam rail motors. They were used on branch lines from Cornwall to Wales and retained their gas lighting until withdrawn, the first in 1956, the last in November 1957.
The model features: fully detailed body and underframe with many separately applied parts, sprung metal buffers, Removable roof for easy insertion of crew and passengers, working interior lights and DCC and DCC Sound Fitted option available.
