Rapido Trains UK have announced they are to produce 00 gauge Metropolitan Railway ‘E’ 0-4-4T No. 1 and RCH 1907 open wagons.
They have also provided details of the GWR Diagram V14 and V16 'Mink A' and Diagram O11 and O15 open wagons that are now available to pre-order.

‘Met 1’ played a central role in January 2013’s 150th anniversary celebrations of the Tube when it brought steam back to London Underground’s tunnels for the first time since 1971. As No. 1 was essentially a one-off locomotive, it has some unique features and detail differences, which is why our model depicts just No. 1 and not the Met’s ‘E’ class. That said, we have discovered that classmate No. L48 (formerly Metropolitan No. 81) was close enough in detail to be able to offer that too.

'Met 1' has the high specification one would expect from a Rapido Trains UK model: fine detail, a smooth and powerful mechanism, flickering firebox, Next18 decoder socket and factory-fitted sound speaker.
There are four models to choose from and they are all fully licensed from Transport.
909001: No. L44, London Transport livery.
909002: No. L48, London Transport livery.
909003: No. 1, 1999-2009 preserved livery.
909004: No. 1, 2013-present preserved livery.
The Rapido Trains UK Metropolitan Railway ‘E’ 0-4-4T, including DCC ready and Sound Fitted versions, with delivery expected early 2024, can be viewed and pre-ordered here>>>
RCH 1907 Open Wagons
The RCH’s 1923 open wagon ‘design’ has been produced by many different ‘00’ gauge manufacturers over the years but the original 1907 version has never been offered before in ‘00’.

There are 34 different 1907 wagons to choose from as these wagons were built in their thousands for coal merchants, collieries and factories up and down the country.

GWR Diagram O11 and O15 open wagons and V14 and V16 ‘Mink A’ covered vans

The Diagram O11 was one of the GWR's most numerous five-plank open wagons and was introduced in 1911. The Diagram O15 was almost identical except that it had vacuum brakes and was introduced a year later.
The GWR also introduced the Diagram V14 and V16 'Mink A' in 1912. They were virtually identical except that the 'V14s' had vacuum brakes and the 'V16s' didn't. There are more detail differences with these models and Rapido have tooled different rain strips, doors and wheels.
The Diagram V14 and V16 ‘Mink A’ and the Diagram O11 and O15 open wagons, due early 2024, are now available to order here>>>
