Rapido Trains UK GWR Toad Diagram AA20 available to pre-order.

Originally announced as part of the Rapido Trains UK official 'Titfield Thunderbolt' train packs their GWR Diagram AA20 Toad Brake Vans are available to pre-order as separate items.

The Great Western Railway settled upon a design of brake van that was as recognisable as its locomotives. The first van with the single ended verandah and large, enclosed body for the use of the guard appeared circa 1871 and variants based on this configuration continued to be built into the 1950s. The GWR allocated telegraphic codes to its goods vehicles and brake vans were dubbed ‘Toad’. The GWR allocated diagram numbers in the ‘AA’ series to 23 versions of post-1888 built ‘Toads’. Rapido Trains UK model depicts the ‘AA20’, which was introduced in 1934.

918008: No. W114764, Yeomil Pen Mill RU, BR grey
918009: No. DW17247, WR (Departmental) grey
918010: No. DW17244, Engineer’s yellow, ZXO TOPS code
