A legend of the short oval scene in the UK, Mick 'Duffy' Collard was a larger than life character who excelled at driving everything sideways, and quickly! Able to carve his way through the pack at the tightest of circuits this Hot Rod MK2 Escort brought sponsorship from Castrol, but it was the driving style of Collard that really caught the eye.

A world champion in Hot Rods and a TV star to boot, Collard won the hot rod world championship in 1980 with a move described by the commentator as: “"He's even got time to wave! what a character! what a boy!" a real character and a driver with A style so well emulated by son Rob and grandsons Ricky and Jordan.
