Rapido Trains UK announce the APT-E on general release in 00

Rapido UK have announced that The National Railway Museum has given permission to produce a further run of this record-breaking gas turbine tilting train as a standalone Rapido Trains UK product. Unlike the first batch, this version will not come with the commemorative booklet and limited edition packaging.
Rapido UK APT-E
The model was produced from a laser scan of the real APT-E, it tilts and has full interior detail, complete with test and computing equipment that’s fully illuminated along with directional lighting and accurate sounds. It is powered by two five-pole skew-wound motors with flywheels.

The are two four car train packs to choose from:
924001 Four car pack DCC Ready £324.95
924501 4 car pack DCC Sound-fitted £409.95
Also available is 924002 a trailing car with seating for those wanting to run a longer train. £101.95
