Hornby have announced further corrections to their 2021 range of new tooled MK4 coaches.

Hornby have announced further corrections to their 2021 range of new tooled MK4 coaches.

Previously they announced that the new Mk4 coaches would be produced as the original British Rail InterCity and GNER Mk4 coaches, pre-Mallard 9 car formations (not including the DVT or Power Car).
After due consideration and in keeping with the forthcoming Class 91 models Hornby have taken the decision to reduce the BR IC Mk4s to the more common 8-car formation by removing one Standard Class coach.
They will now produce the GNER Mk4s in post-Mallard refurbished condition which equates to one less Standard Class coach, while at the same time including the correct later buffet as well as adding a First Class Disabled coach. Following this update please find the updated formations below, including two deletions and one reinstated coach. Please also be advised that some coach letters have changed.
