That was the Warley that was... a round up of new product announcements made leading up to and during the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition

As always a number of new product announcements are made leading up to and during the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition. Those announcements we have not yet featured are summarised below.

Accurascale
Accurascale have announced the 57xx GWR Pannier Tank Locomotive Family of 57xx, 67xx and 8750 tanks in 00 gauge. Their tooling suite caters for a wide range of detail variations across the classes.

The initial batch focuses on the non top feed versions that have not previously been available in RTR form.

Dapol
Dapol have announced the Class 323 EMU in 00 Gauge. The British Rail Class 323 units were built from 1992 through to 1995 and designed to operate on inner-suburban commuter lines in and around Birmingham and Manchester with swift acceleration and high reliability. Of the 43 units built, 26 are in operation with West Midlands Railway and 17 with Northern Trains.

Heljan
Heljan have announced the LNER U1 Garratt 2-8-0+0-8-2T and the Class 44 1Co-Co1 'Peaks' in 00 gauge along with the Class 24 in 0 Gauge

No. 2395 was introduced in 1925 and for 30 years, the ‘U1’ was deployed on arduous banking duties on the infamous inclines at Worsbrough near Barnsley, and Lickey Incline near Birmingham.

The ten BR/Sulzer Type 4 Class 44 Peaks were introduced as part of the BR Diesel Pilot Scheme in 1959 intended for express passenger services. They were originally numbered D1-D10 and named after mountains in England and Wales hence they became known as Peaks.

In 0 Gauge Heljan announced the Sulzer Type 2 Class 24/0, and also the later Class 24/1s along with Scottish Region ‘24/1s’ with twin headlights.

Revolution Trains has developed a brand-new tooling of the Class 66 with many different tooling variants to offer the most accurate Class 66 produced in N gauge.
