Signalling is an essential lineside feature of any railway operation, large or small, and the ARP Signal Box forms an integral part of that. This brick building model from Scenecraft features handrails, doors and drainpipes decorated in red. Based on a structure built around World War Two and to a design which would limit bomb damage in the event of an air raid, Signal Boxes like this played a vital role in the War effort and Britain’s ultimate victory.
