In the days before railway signalling became controlled from centralised locations, many railway stations would have signal boxes placed at the ends of platforms to allow staff to control the movement of railway vehicles and rolling stock around the station. This Platform Mounted Signal Box model from Scenecraft is decorated in cream with brown highlights and can be used on many steam era layouts.
