The Track Cleaner will include a factory-fitted 8 pin DCC socket ready to accommodate a standard 8-pin DCC chip, and will have NEM coupling pockets for true global compatibility.

Note that this is not self-propelled but the motor is for controlling the vacuum and scrubbing functions.  The speed of this motor can be varied if fitted with a DCC Decoder.

The cleaner applies a small amount of cleaning fluid, then polishes the rails with the rotating pads and also vacuums the dust and fluff from the track.

This is the renowned Dapol Track Cleaning vehicle with a modern twist. It needs to be hauled by a locomotive as the often described ‘motorised’ element of this item reflects the motor driving the cleaning heads and not the movement of the model.

It works by the track cleaning vehicle supplying a small amount of cleaning fluid and then polishing the rails with the rotating pads. A full range of spares and fluids are available in the Dapol range. Please note that Track Cleaning Fluid is not supplied with the model.

Featuring an 8 pin DCC decoder socket and NEM coupling pockets, this item is compatible with most brands.

Note: To run this model on DCC you will need to plug in an 8 Pin Dcc Decoder. We recommend the DCC92 as it fits nicely in the unit.
