The LMS 20t Brake Van joins the range as a brand-new model for 2026! These highly detailed 20T brake vans will cover ‘as-built’ LMS examples as well as those constructed during BR in the 1950’s. Sporting numerous separate fitted parts, and featuring crisply moulded planked bodyshells, these roomy brake vans are ideal for partnering with your freight rolling stock. TT6092 depicts No. DM731833 in BR engineers’ olive green livery.

History:
In total, more than 2,500 of these vehicles were built by the LMS and BR for use on unfitted trains that didn’t have the continuous brake system. Some passed into departmental use, such as this LMS-built example, finished in olive green with white markings, including the TOPS designation of ‘ZTO’. Basic comforts inside for the guard included seating and a solid fuel stove.
