Most Scalextric cars produced from 2007 onwards will have as standard a socket on the car where the EASYFIT DIGITAL PLUG is connected to convert the standard car in to a car suitable for use on a SCALEXTRIC DIGITAL layout. The conversion only requires a small screw-driver and takes less than sixty seconds to perform.
The conversion process is simple:
1. Remove the blanking plate on the car chassis by undoing the retaining screw and disconnect the braid-to-motor wiring plug.
2. Connect the EASYFIT DIGITAL PLUG to the braid-to-motor wiring plug.
3. Replace the retaining screw to secure the EASYFIT DIGITAL PLUG to the chassis.
The blanking plate should be kept in a safe place as the EASYFIT DIGITAL PLUG can be transferred to another car.
FEATURES: ‘Digital Plug Ready’ underpan (DPR) allows quick-change of the digital chip in less than 60 seconds. Easy access. ‘Plug an Go’ solution. One C8515 EASYFIT DIGITAL PLUG can be transferred and used on as many cars as necessary. No need for a soldering iron or modeling expertise.
Cars built to the new DPR standard for 2007 include: Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo, Range Rover, Chaparral, Audi R10, Porsche Spyder LMP2, Ford Mustang FR 500C.
Note: When converting a car without a DPR chassis refer to Digital Chips C7005 and C7006.
