Holman Brothers Ltd. was an English mining equipment manufacturer founded in 1801 based in and formed the industrial heart of Camborne. By the 1890s Holman began to manufacture compressors. The first "Cornish" compressors were built to designs adapted from existing steam engines. In 1968 a merger took place with Buckinghamshire compressor manufacture Broom & Wade. creating the CompAir Group and the business became CompAir Holman. The company celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2001 but closed its Camborne facilities in late 2003.
