Equipped with a DCC Ready 18-pin socket, this locomotive offers seamless digital conversion, either DCC or DCC HM7000 Bluetooth control. An accessory pack is also included, containing additional detailing parts. Designed to haul a wide variety of freight, these locomotives make an excellent choice for enthusiasts and modellers alike looking to recreate real-world operations. Whether running intermodal, aggregate, or fuel trains, these locomotives can be paired with an impressive selection of rolling stock to enhance your layout including IFA, KFA & MGR wagons. TTA wagons, frequently used for fuel transport, also compliment the Class 66 allowing a realistic and visually striking freight formation.

Entering service in 1998, this was one of the original 250 locomotives ordered for EWS. Funded by Locomotion Capital Ltd, it was leased to EWS until December 2008. No. 66022 was one of 60 locomotives sub-let to its Euro Cargo Rail subsidiary in France, starting in June 2006. It was then sold by to Angel Trains, who leased it to DB Schenker Rail UK, but the locomotive remained in service in France, returning to the UK for heavy maintenance when required via the Channel Tunnel. Today it is part of the DB Cargo fleet.
