History
Trainload Freight was the freight operating arm of British Rail, split into four sectors: Coal, Construction, Metals and Petroleum.
As the name suggests, the Coalfield Freight train set depicts a prototypical freight train made up of a Class 37 and ‘Merry-Go-Round’ hopper wagons, named after the curved sidings at powerplants allowing for a whole train to be unloaded without the need for the loco to ‘run around’. Why not bolster your rake with additional Hopper Wagons too!
