R30506 Hornby BR Class 10 Diesel Shunter number 10119 ""Margaret Ethel-Thomas Alfred Naylor"" - BR Blue era 7.

New release - pre-orders invited - expected during 3rd Quarter 2026.

The BR Class 10 was a variation on the standard BR Class 08 shunter, fitted with Blackstone engines and GEC traction motors. Built at Darlington and Doncaster, 146 were produced between 1955 and 1962, but due to their non-standard nature, they were withdrawn early, between February 1967 and June 1972.

Built as D4067 in 1961 at Darlington, this locomotive initially worked at Darnall, Sheffield, followed by Langwith Junction and Shirebrook. Withdrawn in 1970, it was sold to the NCB and used at Betteshanger Colliery in Kent. It moved to Loughborough in 1980 for preservation and has been numbered 10119 and named after the owner’s parents.
