R30481TXS Hornby Transrail Class 56 56047 - DCC Sound Fitted

This Transrail Class 56 OO gauge model locomotive features the so-called "Dutch" civil engineers grey and yellow livery, with sprung metal buffers and NEM tension lock couplings. The highly detailed model is also pre-fitted with HM7000 sound capability for the most authentic experience. 

Built at Doncaster Works, 56047 entered service at Toton in July 1978. 

Transrail was one of a number of main line companies to be bought in 1996 to form new freight operator, English Welsh & Scottish (EWS). It was withdrawn in October 2003 and scrapped at Immingham.
