PS34 Parkside GWR 12 Ton Motor Car Van Kit - Diagram G31.
Between 1933 and 1936 the GWR built 350 of these vans to convey motor cars on goods train services. Their telegraphic code was MOGO. This traffic would be chiefly in new cars from such centres as Morris Cowley. As the vans also had sides doors like normal goods vans they might also be utilised for ordinary goods traffic. The design is based on the then standard V23 goods van. Withdrawal took place in the late 1960's when car traffic was concentrated onto through block trains to distribution depots. Transfers for three GWR and two BR livery periods.
