These gunpowder vans were built between 1913 and 1926 to carry gunpowder and other explosives. Their design is a breakaway from the more traditional 'Iron Mink' type. Examples lasted until around 1960. Moulded in grey plastic, with brass bearings and metal wheels, this is another high quality wagon kit from Parkside Dundas. Parkside Dundas specialise in wagon kits of types not normally provided for by the ready-to-run manufacturers, so they fill in a very useful gap for many modellers. With clear instructions these kits are a pleasure to build. All the modeller needs to do is paint them and add transfers (not in the kit, but obtainable from the specialist decal suppliers, details given in the pack).
