No.60069 was allocated to BR’s Train Load Freight (TLF) Coal Sector and named ‘Humphrey Davy’, in honour of the inventor of the miner’s safety lamp. \u003c\/p\u003e  \u003cp\u003eFollowing the break-up of TLF, the Class 60s were divided between three of the shadow franchises: Mainline Freight, Loadhaul and Transrail Freight, but not long after they were formed they were absorbed into English, Welsh \u0026amp; Scottish (EWS). By 2007, it was estimated that the operational fleet was down to just 60 locomotives, the rest either in store or undergoing repair.
